European Vacation

After being delayed by back to back blizzards I'm finally taking off to visit my sister and her family in Amsterdam until March 13th. Right now the only sure thing planned that I know of is a trip to Barcelona my sister has planned while my niece and nephew are on holiday from school. Other than that I'll be visiting friends in Ireland, England and hopefully Belgium. Can't wait to live out this experience!

But I've got to run, I leave for the airport in a few hours and I'm being lectured by my mother as to why on earth I would dye my hair pink, blue and purple before I went to Europe. Well, Ma...because there's no one to tell me I can't :P

Here goes nothing

So I'm out of the Army and have been given a second chance to venture forth on a path in life that had never occurred to me to take. I have decided to forsake the pursuit of a lucrative career in the field in which the military trained me, and am taking time off to reconnect with friends and family members while traveling and re-figuring out who I am before heading back to school full time in the fall.

The goal of this blog is to share some of the things I do while joining the ranks of those who are taking advantage of their unemployment to live life to the fullest. Do not judge my grammar. I will do my best to not write entirely in lower-case and butcher punctuation.
